636 new build-to-rent apartments in Canary Wharf
The Newfoundland development is among the first build-to-rent schemes in Canary Wharf and will house 636 apartments. This exciting project will bring one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside studios for rent in Canary Wharf. Residents will have a lot of space to call home. The apartment sizes will vary from 429 sq. ft. to 1819 sq. ft.
They will also have the use of a gym, a children’s play area and a terrace garden. A restaurant is set to open on level one which will be for general public enjoyment. Rental prices have not been released yet but we await the listings with great excitement.
Ground Breaking project in Canary Wharf
The topping out of the UK’s highest residential-only tower block happened recently. Alec Vallintine, Canary Wharf Contractors director, is delighted with progress on the build. The development stands at sixty floors high and gives stunning views all across the city.
Completion is due to happen in spring 2020. Work onsite began in 2014 and included a huge amount of underground labour as utilities had to be moved. Relocating utilities allowed for piles up to sixty metres deep to take massive foundations needed by the building.
