East London is the future of London investment

Royal Albert Docks has been under close scrutiny recently as it’s massive redevelopment has been ongoing. APB’s Royal Albert Dock site is an exciting project at the heart of East London’s regeneration and is bringing some great business space into fruition. In addition to large and small spaces available there is a real feel of inclusion in this project.

”The future of London development is in east London” according to Mr. Xu of ABP development.

Brexit uncertainty is still hanging in the air, yet we have recently been reassured with a strong positive message from those responsible for the magnificent project. The chairman and president of ABP has recently revealed that “I will never leave the UK. ABP are always committed to the UK and always committed to this development.”

He has also said that, ”We will always want to be in east London. The future of London development is in East London.” Here at Henry Wiltshire Royal Docks we are delighted with the news.

RAD as a development

Phase one of the site was 50% sold out before building began and has ultimately been a huge success. Set across 21 new buildings and incorporating 460,000sq ft of office space, it has been an accomplishment of mammoth proportions.

The build runs alongside the Royal Albert Dock and is parallel to the DLR. Furthermore, with three stations set across the site there isn’t much of a walk needed to your ride home. The Elizabeth line is a key component and will give commuters an even speedier onward journey. Together with it’s close proximity to London City Airport it is simply in a fantastic location.

Mr Xu commented on phase one recently when he said, ”I feel very happy about it. It has filled our objectives.”

Further phases to include more commercial and residential development

Phase two will include more office spaces and a membership club alongside some flats. The planning process will commence in 2020 and the project as a whole is expected to take over 20 years to complete in full. Exciting times are definitely on the horizon for Royal Docks.
