Moulding the property industry in the United Arab Emirates and beyond
The first 3D printed house in Sharjah, UAE, is due to be completed by the end of the year. This project is very modern and futuristic and is set to change the global construction industry.
The technology is very advanced and Sharjah is hoping to lead the way for the world’s architects with the venture. Their Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) is a hub of learning, research and talent. A Dutch organisation named CyBe Construction has been selected to build the 3D house in STRI Park.
Projects like Sharjah’s prototype alongside a Dutch project in collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology are a definite plan for the future.
3D Technology could reduce the cost of building new homes
The technology is simply too good not to use. The costs associated with regular construction could be vastly reduced using this method. It is also a less wasteful way of building as the machines print to size and use much less materials in their production. With a lot of the work done off-site there is less disruption onsite to worry about too.
When could we see 3D-printed new homes in London?
The world is getting faster. 3D printing could be a real possibility from next year. The new homes market in London would benefit from this efficient and less disruptive way of building.
This breakthrough is definitely nearing it’s launch phase and is great news for the property market in general and London in particular. London needs new properties at speed without compromising quality and safety. This is what the 3D process will provide. Our agents in east London will be keeping up with the venture.
