Silver Linings on the peninsula
Based in the London borough of Newham, Silvertown Peninsula has the Thames on one side and Royal Docks on the other. Once it was considered a ghost-town and was neglected but that has all changed in recent years.
It is one of the major regeneration sites in London at the moment with £6.5 billion due to be spent on transforming the area. Great strides into the regeneration have already taken place and it has become unrecognisable from it’s derelict self.
The area is a new tech hub and thousands of homes, alongside shops, schools, green areas and other amenities have been added or are forthcoming.
New home developments in Silvertown
Thameside West is a new neighbourhood in the area. It will provide over 5000 new homes which are badly needed. There will also be schools, cafes, retail spaces, bars and plenty of green spaces to enjoy. New homes at The Refinery in Knights Road are also currently on the market. They are perfect for first time buyers as there are shared ownership options for those that qualify.
The Ballymore development in Royal Wharf is another great sign of things to come in Silvertown. With up to 3,300 homes and lots of other facilities it will be exciting times ahead for all concerned.
Royal Wharf shining bright
