The sixty day average that London is now seeing a return to numbers previously seen in 2011. This isn’t necessarily bad news however. There are many factors which have lead to this change.

Making Selling Easier

It is not just a Brexit issue. Changes in taxation have slowed down the buy to let market and made some buyers a little more hesitant. Selling with a leasehold is also a factor.

Sellers need to have all of their homework done if they want to sell quickly. They need to make sure that their paperwork is in order and likewise they need to be careful when choosing a solicitor. It is imperative that a seller chooses one who is very familiar with leasehold sales.

When it comes to selling a flat there are some other considerations to take into account. There are many new builds on the market so if it is an older flat a seller really has to put some effort in. Clearing clutter and showing off the space available is essential. Older flats can be more spacious and it’s important to give that sense to potential purchasers.
