Visit our stand at the Hayes Canal Festival this Sunday, 24 September

The Hayes Canal Festival will be held this Sunday, 24 September, from noon to 5pm, on the stretch of canal next to High Point Village.

Henry Wiltshire will be out in force – as well as a Henry Wiltshire stand and the chance for free valuations, the estate agents are also providing a bouncy castle for the children and volunteering at the festival. There will also be opportunities to learn more about the wildlife in the area, and the different habitats offered by the waterway. The event is organised by the Canal and River Trust and supported by the Hillingdon Community Trust.

Community events in Hayes

Our estate agents at the Henry Wiltshire Hayes office live in the area. “When we’re selling property in Hayes, something we highlight to buyers is the area’s community spirit,” they say. “The Hayes Canal Festival is a great example of this – people who know about the canal and how to get the best from it will be sharing their knowledge and helping others to enjoy it too. You don’t need to live by the sea to enjoy watersports – I think the Canal Festival will show everyone why Hayes is one of the best places to live in London. We are delighted to have the opportunity to get involved, and we’re really looking forward to meeting all the visitors on Sunday.”

The property market in West London

Transport still plays an important part in the development of west London

Interest in the Hayes property market is gaining momentum all the time. While the Grand Union Canal is no longer used for its original purpose, transport still plays an important part in the development of west London. The advent of Crossrail is putting many areas in outer London firmly on the map, while the expansion of Heathrow airport is giving Hayes a new appeal to workers and frequent travellers alike.

It’s an exciting time in the outer London property market,” explain our agents. “Hayes and other areas in West London are undergoing a lot of change, with new developments like High Point Village and the Nestle factory appearing. Hayes is all about comfortable homes, good transport links and a strong sense of community – choosing to host the Canal Festival at High Point Village really exemplifies this.”
