This vibrant and very central part of town is but a mile from Trafalgar Square with Belgravia to the north and Westminister to the east. Pimlico became a residential neighbourhood in the 19th century. Thomas Cubin, known as London’s master builder, decided to create an area of great architectural importance for London’s gentry. He created the beautiful Regency style houses and garden squares that have become infamous to the area.

The average property price in the area has increased hugely over the last decade. At just over £939,000, the average price is up 62% since 2008. With 90% of this increase happening between 2008 and 2013 the last five years has seen a more steady growth.

With the many different property types on offer there are a few variables price wise in the locality. There are a huge volume of landlords in the area too. Their decision to continue to rent properties instead of selling them on has increased the demand for properties.

According to figures the average price of a 1 bed in the area is coming in at just over £722,000. If you need a little more space then you will look at roughly £1.9 million for a three-bedroom property. For this fantastic location the prices are good and with direct routes to all other parts of the city on your doorstep it is an area worth keeping in mind.
